Policies

1.0. General

Return vehicle with same fuel level as was rented to aviod refuelling charges. A $10.00 charge will apply, plus the cost of fuel will be applied if fuel is not returned at same level.

2.0 Driver Licences and Requirements

Valid Ontario class "G" licence and International licences accepted. We will also accept another province/stat licence.

3.0 Unlimited Miles

Unlimited mileages are applied within Ontario only, and only on specified contracts. Unlimited mileage only applies to vehicles in Ontario. If travelling outside of Ontario, rental only allowed 200km daily. $0.20 per kilometre if over. Travel to United States not permitted unless authorized by agency.

4.0 Age

Requirements Minimum Age: 23 Age 23 to 24 - $10 Surcharge applies. Surcharge applies and collision coverage of $23.99 per day with ($1000 deductible) is mandatory.

5.0 Additional Drivers

Two additional drivers permitted an additional chargeof $ 9.99 applies per day(per additional driver) Minimum Age for Additional Drivers: 23 Driver 23 to 24 are subject to underage drive fee.

6.0 Driving Area

No travel permitted to outside Ontario. We may allow some area outside Ontario, please call for more detais.

7.0 Fuel Policy

Vehicles must be returned with the fuel tank: Full Fuel surcharges will apply. Price depends on current market. Ask at counter.

8.0 Deposit Requirements

Cash deposits are not accepted. RENT AND DRIVE LTD accepts the following rental deposits: VISA, Master Card, AMEX.

8.1 Payment Methods

Rent and Drive ltd. accepts the following methods of payment: Debit Card, Traveler's Cheques, VISA, Master Card, AMEX, JCB, Cash Pick-ups and Drop-offs.

9.0 No Charge

Pick-ups and drop-offs within radius of 5 kilometers

10.0 Early Return Policy

You only get charged for the time you rent the vehicle.

11.0 Rental Extensions

You will need to contact the RENT AND DRIVE LTD office to discuss the availability of an extension. Please note: the rental rate is subject to change at the sole discretion of RENT AND DRIVE LTD. Make sure to ask the representative if there will be a change in rate.

12.0 Vehicle Return

The vehicle must be returned to the return location specified in the rental agreement during our business hours:

13.0 Cancelation Policy

There will be $55.00 No Show up charge and reservation cancellation charge will be applied, If you cancel your reservation in less than 24 hours from the pick up time.

We feature a fleet of non-smoking vehicles. If smoking occurs in the vehicle(s) during the period of rental, a penalty of $250.00 will apply.

If excessive pet hair/dirt/odor is present in or on the exterior of the rental vehicle(s) at time of return, a cleaning fee of $150.00 will apply.

The additional fees are subject to change without further notice ALL RATES AND SURCHARGES ARE SUBJET TO TAX

The renter is fully responsible for tire, wheel, and hubcap damages during the period of rental. Whether the tire(s) and wheel(s) were damaged by road hazard, driver error, or even a blowout, the renter will be held responsible and charged for any expenses to repair the vehicle and/or replace the tire and/or related components.

Replacement parts must be OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer); aftermarket parts are not accepted.

If towing is necessary, the renter is responsible for all towing expenses and loss of use of vehicle.

Renter agrees to pay all parking infraction(s), traffic violation(s) and/or toll road charge(s) incurred during the rental period.An adminstration charge of $50.00 will apply for each parking infraction, traffic violation and/or Highway 407 usage notice received.

The administration charge is subject to change without further notice. We will always try our best to provide you with the specific model or color you requested/reserved; however, we CANNOT guarantee that a specific vehicle will be available. In the event that we are not able to provide you with the specific vehicle you reserved, a vehicle of similar class will be provided.

The additional driver is recognized as an additional renter and is subject to Terms and Conditions of the Rental Agreement including payment until the vehicle(s) is(are) returned.

PRIVACY POLICY

RENT AND DRIVE is committed to respecting the privacy of our clients and franchisees. In order to communicate our commitment, we have prepared this Privacy Statement to advise you of our privacy practices and how to contact us with any questions you may have about our handling of your personal information.

COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

When you contact one of our rental offices to rent a vehicle, we must collect certain personal information from you. We only collect information that is essential for us to provide our services to you. The information we typically collect from our customers includes:

• Name
• Home and/or Business Address
• Contact Phone Number(s)
• Date of Birth
• Method of Payment (e.g. Credit Card – Account Number and Expiration Date)
• Driver’s License Number and Province/Country of Issuance
• Home Owner Information (e.g. rent or own)
• Personal Vehicle Information (e.g. license number and description)
• Banking Contact Information
• Employment Contact Information
• Character References

PURPOSES OF COLLECTION

The personal information we collect from you will only be used for reasonable purposes and, subject to limited statutory exceptions, you will be notified of those purposes before the information is collected. Typically, the purposes for which we collect personal information from our customers include:

• Confirming an individual’s identity
• Contacting the individuals who have provided their personal information
• Providing the services that have been requested
• Administering the customer’s rental or purchase
• Researching, developing, managing, protecting and improving our services
• Conducting customer satisfaction surveys
• Maintaining and developing our service oriented software and other business systems

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

In order to provide our services to our customers, it is sometimes necessary for us to disclose your personal information to third parties. We will only disclose your personal information to others when it is reasonable to do so and we will only disclose as much information to the third party as is necessary to satisfy the purpose of the disclosure. During the course of our business activities, we may disclose personal information to the following organizations:

• To credit card issuers
• To credit reporting and fraud checking agencies
• To debt collection agencies
• To government or private organizations responsible for the processing or handling of traffic or parking related violations
• To driver licensing authorities, directly or through intermediary organizations when we need to verify compliance with RENT AND DRIVE safe driver criteria for qualified drivers and/or to verify license information
• To government regulatory and law enforcement agencies where the disclosure is required or authorized by law
• To insurance companies for claims processing and miscellaneous inquiries

If we do disclose your personal information to a third party, we will take steps to ensure that the party handles your personal information in the same manner, and to the same standards.

ACCESSING AND CORRECTION YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Subject to certain legislated exemptions, you are entitled to access:

• Your personal information contained in a record that is in our custody or under our control
• The purposes for which your personal information has been and is being used by us

Depending on the nature of your request, we may charge you a fee for processing your request.

As part of our privacy commitment to you, we will undertake to make every reasonable effort to ensure that all of your personal information that we have collected, used or disclosed, is accurate and complete. In order to maintain the accuracy of your personal information for as long as it is used for the purposes set out above, your prompt notification of any changes to your personal information will assist us.

We have made reasonable security arrangements to protect your personal information from such risks as: unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or destruction.

RETENTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We have put in place a retention schedule based on our legal and accounting practices that limits the length of time we will keep the personal information you have provided to us. At the end of the relevant period, we will dispose of your personal information in a secure manner.
